A part of Rightfully Sewn’s mission is to propel Kansas City trend designers to market to allow them to supply the burgeoning demand for prime-high quality, American-produced garments. I started as a graphic designer in 2011 at Underneath Armour, and since then have moved into a position as an Equipment Designer for the Ladies’s team. Normally, the designer will make a rough mannequin of the design by making a toile. When that is placed on a model-like costume stand, the designer can see how the fabric will drape or grasp on a human form.
