Whereas the trends in the American style industry through the Nineteen Forties’ were largely influenced by the Second World Warfare and its painful consequences, the 1950s’ witnessed the emergence of latest tendencies within the style trade which were launched with the intention of leaving the past behind and transferring towards a new future with hope and optimism.
